Internet banks and traditional currency exchange counters got really serious competitor. It is cashless currency exchanger maini.lv. This service was worked out in Latvia. It offers to exchange cashless commission-free currency.
Initially, the company offered to exchange currency in the conduct of just one bank. But due to many clients’ requests, now it is possible to make deals within clients’ accounts in different banks. Nowadays the company works with the following Latvian banks: Nordea bankа, DNB bankа, Swedbank, SEB bankа and Citadele.
It is possible to exchange lats, euros, dollars and British pounds in the service maini.lv. But in February this list will enter Swiss franc and Russian rouble, due to increasing demand.
According to the company’s member of the board Kristine Manovska, the service mani.lv is going to develop in three ways: by adding new currencies, by expanding range of clients and by activity out of Latvia.
Private persons use the service maini.lv to exchange money for credit and leasing payments and for going abroad. 20%-30% of clients are enterprises that use the service for credit payments and to settle accounts with partners.
